Lekker in vogelvlucht door de lucht heen, en vrij om je heen kunnen kijken zonder dat er een kooi om je heen zit. Dat zal het doel hier geweest zijn.
Opgegroeid onder de rook van Schiphol was ik al van jongs af aan een groot vliegfanaat (geen vliegtuigfanaat, daar weet ik echt niks vanaf :). Dromen dat ik door de wolken kon vliegen, zoals een vogel.
Volgens mij is dit voorlopig het best haalbare…

Just wanted to give a big thank you to the guys from OpenPanel for the great party! As usual, it was well organised. Location was perfect, as was the catering. Especially the race track and the wall-beamer for XBox and/or WoW was a great idea :)
As a geek, I use the Linux Operating system, for my workstations and servers. According to Shelly Goodman, an extreme republican in the US, that makes me a marxist. Well, actually, she doesn’t say that in the article (by Tristan Shuddery, another extreme republican), but she sure as hell meant it.
When I first read the article, I thought it was a joke. People can’t be that dense, I thought. Apparently, it’s not fake. These people seriously believe that shit. It sure as hell scared me, and I feel really sad for her and people like her.
I think that this way of thinking is much more extreme than what mr. Osama Bin Laden is doing. Or at least as extreme.
Actually, I think that about a lot of religions. Every religion has their group of people who are so into their belief, that they’d do anything to convince people. Or, in the case of Christianity, start a war.
Believing in a cause is perfectly OK and healthy. Invading countries and killing it’s people over such things isn’t.

Well, first off, welcome to my Blog. Since everyone is doing it, I thought I’d give it a shot.
I am Martijn Bakker, a geek. I like to play with almost anything that has to do with modern day computing. I am a network engineer, a VoIP specialist/consultant and team leader at the technical department of my employer.
Mostly I’ll be posting links to other stories, or rants about colleagues and friends. Also, I’ll see if I can create a sort of photoblog, since my mobile phone has a camera nowadays.
